Whether you are a backpacker or prepper, this fills several niches. A flashlight for digging something out of a storage place, an emergency radio for weather broadcasts, a reading lamp when night falls at the campsite. In case of calamity, it has USB port to recharge other devices from its' power bank. And if disabled, there is an 'SOS' button with medium-loud siren and flashing light. Right now, it sits in the sunlight on my windowsill to recharge.
Although I first thought the sound on weather band was poor, FM sound is surprisingly clear for such a little unit. It would be a useful item for weather outages wherever you live.
